(Module)Activity 1.3

Module 1.3
1- Discuss Question
*Reflect on a piece of art (painting song movie or sculpture) that you believe has impacted society. How did it communicate a message or bring about social change?

---- One powerful piece of art that has impacted society is the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. Released in 1971 during a time of political unrest and the Vietnam War, the song communicated a vision of peace, unity, and a world without divisions based on religion, borders, or materialism. Its simple, yet profound lyrics invited listeners to consider a world without conflict or greed—a radical idea that challenged the norms of the time.

"Imagine" became an anthem for peace movements and inspired generations to advocate for nonviolence and global harmony. Its influence is evident in how it continues to be played at rallies, memorials, and events that promote unity. The song’s emotional impact lies in its hopeful tone and universal message, making it a timeless call for change and a reminder of the power of imagination in shaping a better future.

2- Research Task
*Choose (suggest) a social issue and research how artists have addressed this issue through their work. Present your findings in a creative way, such as a digital presentation or poster.
